At Boys & Girls Clubs of South Africa, we use art as a catalyst for education, confidence, and belonging. Through dramatic arts, marimba (Xylophone) and cultural dance and music, BGCSA kids are afforded the platform for self-expression, imagination and a creative representation of emotions. This programme also embraces our culture, shared values and traditions, to maintain our authenticity as a people, and to share these with the world.

Traditional Dance: At the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Africa (BGCSA), traditional dance is offered as part of our programmes to help young people celebrate their cultural roots, build confidence, and develop a deeper appreciation for their heritage while fostering unity and self-expression.

Drama: Drama is a powerful form of creative expression that allows individuals to explore emotions, ideas, and real-life situations through performance. At the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Africa, drama is offered as one of our Arts & Culture programmes. Through acting, storytelling, and stage production, members are empowered to express themselves, build character, and find their voices in a supportive and creative environment.

Marimba: At the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Africa, the marimba is offered as one of our vibrant music programmes. It provides young people with an opportunity to learn musical skills, express themselves creatively, and celebrate African culture through rhythm and harmony. Playing the marimba promotes rhythm, coordination, and teamwork while nurturing creativity and a love for music. It also serves as a bridge between generations, preserving cultural heritage through sound and performance.
