Clubs are positive places for kids where Members can explore their talents and abilities in a supportive environment with the potential to transform their view on life creating a culture of opportunity and success.
Our mission is to inspire and enable young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as healthy, responsible, and productive citizens.
One of our key objectives is to ensure each Club Member develops a meaningful and mentoring relationship with our Staff, who can ultimately guide them towards a great future.
For the MIND.
For the BODY.
For RECREATION.
For CREATIVITY.
Boys & Girls Clubs is a safe space, physically and emotionally, for children who need us most. We focus on the holistic development of each and every child that walks through our doors.
Every day over 1,800 children attend our clubs, where we deliver high-impact programs covering academics, technology, life skills, sports, and arts.
We focus on the holistic development of each and every child that walks through our doors, with a core focus on academic success.
Our first Club opened its doors in 2011 and we have been slowly growing ever since. BGCSA now facilitates programs across 7 Clubs in Gauteng namely Bertrams, Maraisburg, Mofolo, Protea Glen, Pimville, Vrededorp, and a pilot Club at Sekano Ntoane High School. Every day over 1,800 children attend our clubs, where we deliver high-impact programs covering academics, technology, life skills, sports, and arts and they are also served with a nutritious meal cooked in our kitchens.
Our partners allow us to serve hundreds of youth each year, to support families, and ultimately, to grow this model for more communities to benefit.
Supporting charity is not always about giving a donation and moving on. We know that many of our supporters want to do more, and to have fun while doing it!
I am Tefo Moloi, an alumnus of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Africa. I am currently studying at Wits University, doing my Honors in Film and Television. I am passionate about developing young people from disadvantaged communities like me and would like you to help me make my dream come true of shooting a film in Lesotho. This project will enable me to graduate and get my qualification so that I can continue giving back to the young ones from different communities. Back me up by donating towards changing the lives of children in disadvantaged communities.
“Remember, happiness doesn’t result from what we get, but from what we give.”
